Nosferatu
Adult Audiovisual DVD - Nos

Loosely based on Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula (many prints were destroyed as a result of a lawsuit against the film), this is widely considered the first vampire feature film. Max Schreck's portrayal of Count Orlok was so terrifying that legend rumored he was actually a vampire (his last name means "terror" in German). This is a classic example of German Expressionism in silent film.
