Microsoft Word for Beginners - Bloomington

In this class patrons will learn how to open Microsoft Word, how to create and save a new document, how to setup formatting (font/paragraph/alignment), how to make lists, how to make tables, and much more. Just the basic functions of Word will be explored so this class is intended for patrons with minimal or no experience with Microsoft Word. There will also be time for patrons to ask specific questions about Word. Patrons registering for this course should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class offered by the library.

Email Basics - Bloomington - CANCELED

What is email? How do I sign up for an email account? Once I have an email account, what kinds of things can I do with it (attachments, address book, folders)? These topics and more will be covered in this brief overview of email intended for patrons that have at least some minimal past computer and Internet experience. We will be setting up email accounts with Gmail in this class. There will also be time for patrons to ask specific questions about email.

Budgeting with Microsoft Excel - Bloomington

Online Job Searching - Bloomington

In this class, participants will learn how to effectively search for a job using the Internet. We will explore area employer websites such as Indiana University, Ivy Tech, IU Health/Bloomington Hospital, Monroe Hospital, Herald Times, etc. In addition, we will explore some state and national job websites such as Indiana Career Connect, Craigslist, CareerBuilder, Monster, and Indeed. Registrants must have an email account and have basic computer skills.
