- Wild Creatures of the Night

Saturday, October 5, 2013 | 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Educators from Indiana Wild bring live nocturnal animals to the library. Meet, and sometimes hold or pet, nocturnal animals such as bats, opossums, alligators, skunks, toads, frogs, and snakes. Indiana Wild is a nonprofit whose mission is to explore the cultural connections between animals and people. Please register.

- Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Saturday, September 14, 2013 | 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for a fun-filled day of cultural festivities. Programs include music by Mariachi Nacional, crafts for kids, and cultural dancers. Roundabout Opera for Kids will perform Ana y su Sombra at 12:30 p.m. (appropriate for young audiences and families) and Maria de Buenos Aires at 3:30 p.m. (appropriate for middle and high school audiences and families.) Drop in.
Co-sponsored by La Casa/Latino Cultural Center, Latino Outreach of CFRD at the City of Bloomington and El Centro Comunal Latino.

An MCPL Community Partner, Roundabout Opera for Kids provides First Theater Experiences programming for children and families at the library.
