Make animated drawings or puppet shows with iPad apps that let you record your storytelling talents. Craft materials will be on hand to use while we take turns with the iPads. No need to register, just drop-in. For children who have completed grades 2nd-6th.
Readers of all ages are invited to the Farmers' Market to help read selections from childrens books. Free books to the first 400 children. Clifford the Big Red Dog - will be there as well!
The Farmers' Market is located at 401 N. Morton St. next to City Hall - Showers Building. This community event will take place along the B-Line trail.
Do you like to draw? Do you like challenges with a time limit? This summer MCPL and Vintage Phoenix have the answer...the 6th annual 12 Hour Comic Book Day. We will provide art supplies and food, and have special activities and guests. Prizes will be awarded for every three hours you stay. Work by yourself or in a team to create your comic masterpiece, and then check back on the Library website to see it displayed for everyone to see! Drop-in.

We'll discuss brain research, early literacy skills and activities, fun ways to promote letter knowledge, and tips for choosing books for your child.
