The T.C. Steele State Historic Site in Brown County celebrates local artists and comes to the branch to help teach us the history and science of color creation. A hands-on activity gets you creating colorful paint from items in and around your home. Then you use your own paint to create a work of art. Completed grades 3-6

Get hands-on with some science tricks and crafts. And if you dare, you can eat some of your creations. We play smeller's bingo and marbles run, and make Alka-Seltzer rockets and a spinning Thaumatrope toy. Mix your own soda to drink while sampling gross treats such as "boogers on a stick" and "owl barf balls." Completed grades K–6. Please register for one session: 10:30-11:30 a.m. -or- 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Skate Night at Western Skateland

A FREE night of skating sponsored by IU Health Bloomington, with activities from the RBBCSC Family Involvement Center and Monroe County Public Library. mention one of these agencies at the door and you can skate for free at 930 W. 17th Street and you and your family skate for free. When resting from skating, visit booths with craft activities and information to keep everyone in the family active, healthy, and happy. All ages. Drop in. An adult must accompany children.
