Close Connections: Using Family Stories to Jump-Start a Poem

Sunday, April 13, 2014 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Flannery O'Connor once said, "Anybody who has survived his childhood has enough information about life to last him the rest of his days." Join us in an exploration of family poetry and get started writing your own. Why did Aunt Rosie never marry? Where did brother go when he raced away on his bike? If you prefer not to write about true stories, invent your own as Mary Oliver did in her poem "Aunt Leaf." Please register.
