Your Stories

Create Your Own Story

In celebration of National Library Week, April 10-16, 2011, we've asked everyone in our community to write their stories about libraries and books. Read all the stories.

If you would like to write your own story, see the Create Your Own Story form for more information.

Quiet Paradise

by Carson - age 17

When I'm in the mood for reading or need a place to write stories, the library is the first place I go.Its quiet and relaxing atmosphere inspires my best work and helps my concentration. From the time I was little to my teens now,I have loved the library the same. The books provide me trips to distant places and the quiet is always nice.My love for reading has flourished incredibly through the years.I owe all that to the library for having a wide selection of my favorite books. My hours tick away as I sit reading, writing, and imagining anything I wish. What I love most is when I see children reading for the first time in the children's section.Their little faces light up when they pick up a good book.It takes me back to when I ws young and I fall in love with reading all over again.
