This class will introduce participants to Facebook. We will cover the basics of Facebook: from setting up an account, to adding friends, to liking pages, and uploading pictures. In addition, participants will be shown how to use Facebook's timeline, and how to sort the news feed. Registrants must have an email account and have basic computer skills.
In this class patrons will learn how to open Microsoft Word, how to create and save a new document, how to setup formatting (font/paragraph/alignment), how to make lists, how to make tables, and much more. Just the basic functions of Word will be explored so this class is intended for patrons with minimal or no experience with Microsoft Word. There will also be time for patrons to ask specific questions about Word. Patrons registering for this course should have basic computer skills or have taken the computer basics class offered by the library.
These one hour sessions are designed for you to ask any technology related questions you wish. You may ask questions regarding e-reading devices, library databases, specific software such as Microsoft Word or Excel, or anything else of interest to you. Two library staff members will be on hand to assist you with your technical questions.
