Description
The Bloomington affiliate of Women Writing for (a) Change is an emerging school which supports the lives of women for whom writing is, or is becoming, an important creative and spiritual practice. The mission of the school has always been to create a healthy, creatively-charged writing community that celebrates the voices of women (and men in select offerings) in search of authenticity, deeper consciousness, healing, personal transformation and re-connection.
Regina Moore, Bloomington's current City Clerk, first conceived the idea of a Democratic Women's Caucus during the local 2003 campaigns. She and Susan Sandberg were the only women to run on the city's ballot in 2003. Moore ran for and was reelected City Clerk.

Description
The mission of My Sister's Closet of Monroe County, Inc. is to provide at-risk, low-income women pursuing employment with free workforce attire. We accomplish our mission through the use of our voucher system and the generosity of those who donate professional attire to our store. Founded in 1998, My Sister's Closet (MSC) is a volunteer run non-profit organziation offering its services to the Monroe and Owen County areas.
CPC of Bloomington is a nonprofit ministry serving women, as well as their families and partners, who come seeking help in making decisions about their pregnancies and related concerns.

Description
At a tea held in the home of Mrs. H. A. Hoffman on Thursday, April 24, 1913, a social organization of Indiana University faculty women, wives and teachers was proposed. Forty five women were present and after discussion, agreement was reached to send invitations to all eligible women; to hold eight meetings a year; to
pay dues and to serve refreshments; and to have an executive committee to direct the organization.

Description
The D of I is a charitable organization of Catholic women founded on the principle of their motto: "Unity, Friendship, and Charity."
The St. Bernadette Circle #712 invites all Catholic women from the three parishes in Bloomington to consider membership in this organization. D of I fundraisers help local charities, including St. Vincent de Paul, Community Kitchen, Crisis Pregnancy Center, and Hannah House. The main focus of all thirty-five D of I chapters in Indiana is St. Elizabeth/Coleman Pregnancy and Adoption Services located in Indianapolis.
The facility, which opened its doors in 1998, provides affordable housing for 28 poor and very poor, homeless families headed by women who have experienced life-threatening violence.
