Description

BWF promotes understanding and friendship between international students and residents of Monroe County. This all volunteer, non-profit organization matches international students studying at Indiana University with individuals and families in the community. Students do not live with assigned hosts, but hosts commit to meeting their students a minimum of three times during each semester of the academic school year. They help international students learn about their new community through shared activities like holiday meals, hikes in state parks, visits to Bloomington's farmers' market and IU sports and musical events. The cross-cultural experience creates many long term friendships.
