We are Indiana residents supporting the Bill to create a cabinet level U.S. Department of Peace and Nonviolence--HR 808. We are working to increase knowledge and participation in the campaign in Indiana.
The national campaign has over 400 chapters/affiliates across the country. The purpose of the campaign and the Bloomington chapter is to inform and engage the public and Congressional Representatives to end the war and U.S. occupation of Iraq.
We are a group of concerned citizens from south-central Indiana who believe that the challenges the nation and the world are facing are so serious that they can only be solved through a rebirth of citizenship.

The Bloomington Peace Action Coalition strives to educate the community about war, peace and U.S. foreign policy, demilitarization, and humanitarian issues. It strives to empower people to take action in response to this information and become advocates for legislative progress.
Meets the 1st Monday of the month, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Boxcar Books 310 S. Washington St.
International peace and justice organization concerned with a range of issues, such as nuclear weapons, the selling of private water supplies, women's issues, racial intolerance, and corporate power. We study issues and then determine actions.
