Description

The Bloomington Community Park and Recreation Foundation works to provide funding to enhance park experiences for all segments of the Bloomington community. Particular emphasis is placed on park and greenspace enhancement and recreational program development for low-income youth so that they may have an opportunity to develop healthy habits and learn valuable skills.

Description

The Indiana/Hoosier Chapter of the Sierra Club celebrated 25 years of environmental activism in 2000. It is an active and vibrant organization that works to accomplish the Sierra Club's mission to:

1. Explore, enjoy and protect the wild places of the earth.

2. Practice and promote responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources.

3. Educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment.
