Description The Harp program is open to students with no previous musical training, though 1-2 years of piano and a sense of humor are highly recommended. An interview is necessary prior to acceptance in the program. Harp students receive one private lesson each week, participate in weekly master classes, and perform in a class recital at the end of each semester. The program is directed by Associate Professor of Music Elzbieta Szmyt, who creates an inspiring atmosphere of friendship and support.

Description The All-Campus Band is open to all IU students wishing to continue in music-making throughout their collegiate years. The band is open to all students regardless of major. (Membership is also extended to all IU graduate students, faculty and staff). Without demanding a significant obligation in a student's schedule, All-Campus Band members meet once a week (Mondays nights) and performs a formal concert at the end of each semester. No audition is needed to join the All-Campus Band. Registration for the ensemble is through the School of Music, course X001. The All-Campus Band features several conductors throughout the year, all of whom are enrolled in Wind Conducting degree programs at Indiana University.

Description The mission of Rhino's Youth Center is to provide entertainment and engagement for the youth of our community in a safe environment, free from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Rhino's afternoon programs are designed not only to give youth something positive to do in the crucial 3-6 p.m. time frame, but also to encourage and facilitate youth in using their own unique voice through media. With the assistance of our partners and collaborators, we now offer 4 remarkably successful and innovative programs to accomplish that goal. All of these programs are implemented with professional staffing and support from the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department and are offered free of charge to youth ages 13-18. Rhino's is the region's premier all-ages music venue, featuring local, national, and international performers.
