Description

The Achievers Summer Academy will provide ninth, tenth, and eleventh grad students (entering Fall of 2009)with college preparation experience while living in a residence hall for one week during the summer. Participants will focus on SAT/ACT preparation and test taking strategies. Additionally, they will have workshops about financial aid, completing college applications, time management and goal setting. Participants are required to have at least a 2.5 GPA, complete two letters of recommendation from a counselor and a teacher, as well as an application.

Description

Twenty-first Century Scholars' mission is to increase high school and college graduation rates among moderate to low-income students living in the state of Indiana. Income-eligible 7th- and 8th-graders that enroll in the program and fulfill a pledge of good citizenship to the state are guaranteed the cost of four years of college tuition at any participating public college or university in Indiana. The Twenty-first Century Scholars award can be applied to an eligible public, private, technical, or proprietary school in Indiana.
