Description	The mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and the mother. Evening Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month (no evening meeting in January and July) at 7:00 p.m., at Bloomington Area Birth Services, 2458 South Walnut Street (NW corner of Walnut & Country Club/Winslow). Morning meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m. at the First United Church, Room #1, 2420 East Third Street (SW corner of E. 3rd St. & S. Woodcrest Ave.)

Description	WIC provides Federal grants to States for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
